Culinary Tradition

Talking about Oaxaca and its people is talking about mole, corn, and mezcal.

Since 1992 Celia Florián and Fidel Méndez opened this place where the aroma of roasted chili peppers, local flavors and ingredients of local variety seduce the palate.

At Las Quince Letras, you'll find a selection of dishes from every corner of the state, including our emblematic mole negro.

An honest gastronomic expression that reflects the best of our identity as Oaxacan people.

Authentic, solid, and genuine
Carlos Fernando Tamés Azar
Las Quince Letras is an authentic, solid, and genuine establishment that stands out for both its culinary offerings and the quality of its service, living up to the expectations of a Bib Gourmand award. At the table, the trio of moles and the aguachile were the highlights, expertly prepared and with distinct flavors. The mezcal selection is well-curated and perfectly complements the experience. Added to this is a great view, which enhances the overall ambiance and makes the experience even more enjoyable. All in all, it's a consistently excellent place where you can eat well and have a wonderful time.
Simply perfect
Johannes Bastian
We went here on our first evening in Oaxaca and felt it's the perfect way to start the stay in this foodie town. Don't get me wrong, we ate humongous amounts of street food as well, but getting a modern and elevated twist on some classical local dishes - and at the level of Las Quince Letras chefs - was simply perfect. The trio de moles was amazing and their house recommended starter Chile relleno blew as away. The staff are very attentive and genuinely nice and friendly. I highly recommend spending an evening on their rooftop, enjoy one of the Mezcal based cocktails and simply soak in the Oaxaca vibes.
Delicious food and excellent service

A place with delicious food; we loved the trio of moles, and we also ordered an almond mole with beef tongue, which was exquisite. The staff is excellent, with very good service and quality throughout. The drinks are very tasty.
Amazing place

We were able to eat at this incredible place, where we were treated very well and the food was truly extraordinary; the mole negro was beyond my expectations. We ate at many places, but this was the best of all. We also tried the plantain molotes, the lentil and quinoa salad, and everything was delicious.
Excellent Oaxacan cuisine

An excellent option for enjoying Oaxacan cuisine. Las Quince Letras, recommended by the Michelin Guide, offers an authentic and high-quality experience. We tried the mole negro, manchamantel, and tasajo: all dishes with deep, well-balanced flavours and perfect execution. The service stands out for its attentiveness and friendliness; the staff is always attentive to every detail, which further enhances the experience. Without a doubt, it's a must-visit if you're in Oaxaca. Quality, tradition, and hospitality all in one place.
